This authentic Renato Anatra signed bowl is a masterclass in Mid-Century Modern minimalism. Crafted from deep "Nero" (black) Murano glass, the piece features a thick-walled, biomorphic "eye" or "seed" shape. The high-gloss finish creates a mirror-like surface that plays beautifully with ambient light.
Renato Anatra is known as one of Murano's most prolific glass sculptors until his retirement in the early 2000s. His artworks, primarily sculptures are displayed in museums around the world. This piece is signed "R. Anatra" on the underside.
Pre-owned and in fantastic condition, with only scruff marks on the underside, as to expected, given its age and some slight surface marks inside the bowl. Neither discrepancies diminishes the beauty of this wonderful chunky piece. No chips or cracks.
