A striking vintage Carstens Tönnieshof West German art pottery vase, featuring a bold Mid-Century Modern silhouette with a flared trumpet neck and bulbous base. The design is a sophisticated mix of textures: the neck and foot are decorated with fine, matte sgraffito-style horizontal bands in grey and cream, while the centre features a dramatic grey band. The body is accented with raised, tube-lined "fat lava" squiggles in a glossy pale lavender-blue and vibrant cherry red. Style 664-18
