A rare and striking Aesthetic Movement Majolica jug, circa 1880. This piece features a unique hexagonal/diamond-shaped body with crisp, moulded geometric fluting. The central band is decorated with a vibrant relief-moulded pink flower and bud against a deep cobalt blue textured ground, framed by mustard-yellow serrated borders and lilac interior.
Pre-owned and in wonderful vintage condition, with just a little minor grazing to towards the front of the rim. Very, very fine crazing is also visible, but only if looking very closely and does not diminish the overall look or collectability of this special piece.
